A participant-driven side event at the Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI) Forum This event brought researchers and practitioners across sectors and geographies who use social norms-shifting approaches to prevent intimate partner violence. Panelists Jasmine Uysal (GEH), Ramadhan Kirunda (IIDC), and Jennifer Gayles (Save the Children) shared measurement and learning approaches to understand that: Evaluating norm-shifting interventions is difficult due to the challenges of measuring norms and the importance of local context. Longitudinal research designs and mixed-method approaches are promising approaches; Qualitative data is needed to unpack the back box of implementation and provide useful information on pathways of change; and IPV is complex and multifaceted (economic, physical, emotional, sexual), requiring comprehensive approaches for measurement and intervention.   Events (Inner)_Social Norms and Intimate Partner Violence
